Costs of Smoking

Besides you health and ultimately your life. You have to look at the money costs of smoking. It's ridiculous when you think about it. Try and explain smoking to an alien from outer space. What do you say? Oh, these are things you put in your mouth. They cost a lot of money, taste awful to begin with but then you get addicted and eventually it will kill you.

Not much of a sales pitch is it? Add to that that your health and home insurance premiums are going to be considerably higher. In terms of health insurance you can easily pay twice as much for the obvious reason that you are going to be a much higher risk to the insurer.

Then with home insurance you'll pay roughly 10% more because of the increased risk of house fires caused by unattended cigarettes.

I hear people complain all the time about how they are strapped for cash and that they wish they could have more spare money. But then these people also smoke a lot of cigarettes. I guess they think that it's simply an expense they have to live with. What a shame.
